Solent tree

I went for a 10.5 mile walk along the Solent Way from Warsash to the outskirts of Gosport.

Between Warsash and Hill Head it's surprisingly undeveloped. I wondered at the dead tree trunk and how it's remained firmly in the shingle.

From Hill Head to Lee on the Solent, the shoreline is built up and busy, but then I discovered Browndown Ranges, a wild, shingly area, still used by the military. See the extra.
