Family Favourite

Really struggling to find a blip today, as everything was against me! The weather was awful - dull, cold and wet at times. Drove to Forfar to meet a friend for a walk, but was half way there when she had to cancel due to a family emergency. Saw some beautiful foals and mares in a field en route, but there was nowhere to stop and loads of traffic. Wandered the shops like a lost chord, as my heart wasn't in it and came home again early.

So it's the garden again and this is a rather special peony that has just flowered in front of the pink rhododendron. It's from a plant originally grown by my late father-in-law and always reminds us of him when we see its lovely rich colour. It was his favourite and we've transferred cuttings of it to every garden we've had over many years, as have other members of his family. What a lovely way to be remembered:-)
