Flowering Sword

I planted a few gladioli bulbs in the garden  in Spring, and today, and after a slow start, they are now flowering in multiple colours.  Unfortunately, this stem got blown over by the wind and rain, so I have cut it off along with a sprig of green shrubbery as a cut flower display.  It also gave me a subject for today's blip!
