Capturing my Journey

Premier Lake

We didnt sleep great at our spot mainly because I spilt a couple of bits of dog food when feeding the dogs and attracted a mouse so we had to get up in the night and empty the truck bed to try get rid of the mouse. Everything was in sealed boxes and safe other than our friends tent we are returning to them. Anyway on the shopping list is mouse traps!

After our morning cuppa we headed to a beautiful natural hot spring just up the forest service road from where we camped. It was already starting to get busy but not too bad. A lovely relaxing soak right next to the river so we could go from hot pool to cold pool and back!

We then headed down the road and picked up some fuel before finding a spot for lunch at Premier lake. The access was for 4x4 high clearance so there was only 2 other trucks there. It was hot so we put out the awning for shade while we ate lunch and the dogs enjoyed a paddle and swim in the lake to cool off.

We tried a different road that was meant to lead to a different set of hot springs but after 18km of slow rough hill climbing it came to an abrupt stop it had been blocked off. We headed back up the other forest service road and found a better spot further along the road for our camp for the night. We enjoyed playing some rummikub and Lammas unleashed (games) while relaxing.

At this point I wish I had extras to show the hot springs! Just pools with natural rocks right next to the river!
