Against Light

Could almost be a Japanese pen and ink sketch, except of course I can't bring myself to reduce the shadows to black. A little immature house finch sitting on a branch, silhouetted against the light. I think it was the gesture that caught my eye with the head bent over and the twisty branch next to it.

I debated cropping in, but given the lack of detail, I don't think that serves a purpose.
