Day27 Lüneburg

No, not Nova Scotia!
We left our friends place after a lovely breakfast, and headed to “The Bridge”, that is, the Oresund Bridge linking Sweden and Denmark, it was nice and sunny, so a great view. We then drove across Denmark to get the ferry to Puttgarden in Germany. We had to wait just 30 mins, then we were off. It’s 45 mins at sea, we had something to eat on board so we could carry on a bit further in Germany. I booked a nice sounding hotel in Lünenburg, and we were there at about 18.30. the hotel was fab, and we were upgraded to a suite, in a really old historical building, it was really fabulous. The city is absolutely fantastic with all the slightly wonky houses, caused by the salt mining there many years ago. We went to a fabulous old pub / brewery for dinner, it was delicious, then had a bit more of a walk around.
Even though it’s in the middle of Germany, it is a historical harbour city, surrounded by important canals, and this is a historic harbour crane.
