Fallen soldier

We took a walk through Enbrook park where the old Saga HQ now stands empty and looking neglected. Weeds are starting to take over the previously well kept gardens as there is now only minimal maintenance. I spotted this memorial solider in what was the herb garden that had been used by their restaurant.
There is planning permission to convert the main building to flats but doesn’t appear to be any movement on doing that. I suspect it is not really suitable and would cost too much. I hope something is done and the gardens don’t just fall to ruin.
