A bumper crop

We've had a run on runner beans from the allotment. Not a meal goes by at the moment without the accompaniment of beans and we've been giving beans to friends and neighbours as well. Now the blackberries are also in abundance. A bit earlier than usual but I gather this is people's experience elsewhere and is attributed to the wet July. I'm enjoying the blackberries with my breakfast cereal, as I did the redcurrants that were equally bountiful. However, I draw the line at combining runner beans and blackberries in the one dish!
