midwife crisis

V&A in Dundee to replace Kinross agricultural show due to a lot of rain . Shire horses , sheep, goats and country life is more me these days but looking at Scottish designers and having expensive afternoon tea looking out at the Antarctic ship , The Discovery was also good.
Eventful day with Basil leaping off a 20 ft high castle harbour wall and falling into a tidal river. I’m pretty sure it’s his failing eyesight caused some kind confusion about what he was seeing . Mike was the hero and saved him, there was no obvious way to get him out. I wanted to call the RNLI or throw him a life belt ( probably would have knocked him out )!! Mike ran all the way round the back of the castle and managed to grab him from the rocks . Once he was out he just shook himself off and wanted to het on with playing in that amazing way that animals do. No worries about what might have been , just get on and enjoy life . A lesson for us worrying humans!
The hand and stone pic was enormous , I stood as tall as the thumb. Can’t remember what the arty blurb said about it , something to do with capturing the moment of decision making when creating art . Apologies to the artist if I have that wrong ! But I liked it and that’s probably more important .
