Tigger's Takes

By Tigger101

We managed a dry walk .... just!

Saturday 12th August 2023                 (backblip)

We were a little later going for our walk ..... a good thing as it turned out!

Shortly before we left the skies opened & it poured with rain! Really pleased we weren't halfway "up the road" which we normally would have been because we would have got drenched!

Thankfully it then stayed dry for a couple of hours!

Spotted this juvenile Willow Warbler high in the Hawthorn bush .... we knew they were about as we'd heard the adult singing the other week! I was chuffed to get this (top right)

Also saw the Whitethroat & managed to get a photo (bottom left)

We came across this flower near one of the entrances to the wood ..... not sure what it is though it looks like a Foxglove ..... probably an escapee from somebody's garden!

Update - flower is Great Mullein .... thanks to Midlander for the ID.

Although the weather wasn't brilliant it was a good wander :-)

The new mattress is lovely & comfortable :-))))

Stay safe everyone :-)
