Only You

Just the one female common darter in our field this afternoon and she disappeared in seconds so I was quite pleased in getting the shot.

The Extra because I've been asked for it is a shot from outside the kitchen window showing where my hide is set up. It faces onto the wires from the telegraph poles so in front of the kestrels who hunt in the longer grasses which is perfect for voles  - theoretically. They didn't this afternoon. Keeping this bit uncut has been a haven for wild flowers, deer, foxes, grasshoppers, butterflies, rodents and pheasants which can skulk and hide fairly safely. It will be cut soon though as it's that time of year again.

I feel no better and have spent the day dosed up. Going to bed for an early night now!
