If you can't beat them...

Gloxinia ( Sinningia speciosa )

We have had a number of wet days but today has beaten them all.  Steady heavy rain all day interspersed with periods of very heavy rain!  In the morning we attended the funeral of one of the Lodge owners, he had been very active in our early days in the development and with organising and keeping everything ticking along.  The afternoon was watching the rain and doing a few jobs round home.

The blip is a Goxinia which is flowering particularly well at the moment.  Still known as Gloxinia which was its original classification it is now classed as Sinningia.  Named after a head gardener Wilhelm Sinning the speciosa means showy or good looking.
