Way Too Hot

The temperature rose to 106F/41.1C this afternoon - 5 degrees higher than forecast. My class went well this morning. I ended up going to campus early and collecting all the plant material in the relative coolness. Then we only had to spend a half hour outside taking this week’s plant ID test. The rest of the day we spend in the air conditioned classroom.

Hopefully this heat wave will end Thursday. Hopefully we won’t lose power. Hopefully this won’t happen again this year.

I’ve been trying to figure out what these sweet little spidery seeds are that are floating about. Anyone know?
