A favourite walk

A lovely Summer morning. We were out early to walk round Jenny Brown’s Point near Silverdale.
The main shot shows the well known chimney on the shore. This site has been the subject of archaeological work in recent years in an attempt to clarify its purpose.
It is believed it was built around1788 and the consensus now seems to be that it was for Copper smelting.
I have added a couple of extras. I was amused by the one looking upwards which gives the impression that white smoke is coming from the chimney.
I took the second one when I was sitiing having a little rest and Mrs. K. was botanising along the shore.
