Casualty

Looks like a Large White butterfly, but I’m afraid it is dead. I found it in the conservatory. It obviously got in whilst we were away and couldn’t get out again. Sad but there is nothing we could do. We do get butterflies and bees in and we have got very good at rescuing them unharmed. Bad timing over the weekend.

Feeling this little thing makes one wonder at the beauty and the frailty of the wings. Neither had I realised the subtly of the colour of this ‘white’ butterfly.
