An Angel

When birds fly into our windows, they often leave very detailed imprints of their bodies on the glass. This was a large bird that must have flown full force with outstretched wings into what it thought was another tree rather than a reflection.  It seems to have survived as we found no trace of it outside.

Moises, our window washer, calls them 'angels', and he is coming next week, so I thought I would take a picture of this one because it was so clear with the morning light shining through the window.

It's been another hot day which means less than usual gets accomplished. I did manage to change the bed, draw some artichokes and a tomato and dabbled with some ideas for a quilt for our bed. It will  be a challenge to make it sturdy enough to accommodate our canine bedmate.

John accomplished quite a lot, including getting our car washed. We seem to live in a dust bowl judging by how quickly it gets dusty and difficult to see out the back window. Clean bed and clean car...what more could one want?
