"Ooooooooooo.............."

Monday was supposed to be Downtown Nite in Elkhart, a fun celebration spearheaded by the local Chamber of Commerce. Lots of food and drink and amusements to be had by all.  Then, along came Mother Nature who threw a monkey wrench into the works with an all day rain...my rain gauge showed just shy of 3 inches (7.62cm).  A real washout.

So...the celebration was postponed to today. One of the attractions that is always well visited by youngsters is the Volunteer Fire Department's Hook and Ladder Truck.  There's Junior Firefighter hats for the kids, and pencils and coloring books and, of course, they can all sit in the driver's seat and have a pretend fireman evening, followed by ice cream and root beer.  This lad was duly impressed.......Ooooooooooo, he said.
