Twelfth Night

After a very soggy morning's walk around Bateswood nature reserve with no photos, the weather did a complete about face this afternoon.

We heaved a sign of relief as we were due to watch a production of Twelfth Night in the open air at Trentham Gardens late afternoon. In fact it was too hot and sunny! We had to move after the interval to find some shade....!

The production was brought to us by The Dukes Theatre who are usually based in Lancaster. They're touring the whole of the UK with this production of a well known Shakespeare play. We both studied it at 'O' Level many years ago, so we know the tale very well. It's always amusing to see how Malvolio is interpreted especially with the smiling and stockings....? There were only 6 of them in the company so I thought it was very well stage managed.
