Dragon's Breath

An early start this morning saw me head for the Somerset Levels to try to capture some images of the early morning cloud inversion.  

Despite the colourful dawn sky I actually think that this shot works better in mono than in colour, given the strong natural contrast in the scene, but the Wide Wednesday challenge this week requires something colourful so its the colour version that you get to see!

I like the conjunction of the modern and ancient, the humdrum and the mystical.  Below the Tor in the urban housing most of the residents would still be fast asleep still.  While on the ancient Tor itself, wrapped in the breath of the dragon a few sun worshippers greet the dawn.
