Friar's Pardon, Hungerford.

This house sign is on a lovely terrace in Hungerford. It used to be on a much bigger house on the High St, but when the house was sold, the owners took the sign with them to this house.

The name might come from a Rudyard Kipling book called 'Actions and Reactions'. The story is about an American couple who come to England and buy a run down old house.
