Traybake

Mum & I took art materials for a fun day in Ipplepen with our good friend, Bavers. She had picked some beautiful flowers, mainly dahlias, & ornamental Fountain grass - Pennisetum, & plonked them in a glass jug, fir us to put to paper if we felt inclined. First a catch up over coffee, followed by a wander around her lovely garden. She loves her plants so always find at least one unusual plant. She has a huge patch of dahlias which she sells bunched outside her front door, but sales have dropped miserably since the village post office closed. She will need to approach a florist quickly. Someone will surely snap them up as they are fabulous. After our garden mooch a 'picky' lunch, the watercolours & pastels came out. Nothing amazing happened, but it was a lot of fun, something I know Mum enjoyed, so need to do it again now they have been dusted off. Perhaps the fresh flowers that Bavers sent us home with will inspire. I'll suggest that to Mum this morning (back Blip).
