Hidden Gem

I didn't hold out much hope for today even though the all day rain forecast held off until mid-afternoon. In misty and grey conditions my initial attempts at minimalist landscape views did not excite me. I tried a few monochrome shots that were an improvement, but then I discovered a dilapidated boat on the other side of a wall.

I got really involved with all the peeling paint and colourful lichen and rusted components, I didn't know where to stop. Anyway, this image was my eventual choice for today, having most of the elements, although the extra with lichen came a close second.
