River of Flowers

Full of Beans

This title is dedicated to my dear friend Mrs Toad!

Another sunny day which I spent in the garden. Planted main crop potatoes King Edward in a large tub. Made a new deep bed, not sure what to plant in it - such indecision! Tomatoes are making a bit more effort to grow so potted them on, also potted on the chillis.

There was a bit of a commotion beyond our fence this morning, about 2 dozen ravens and jackdaws were flying around, squawking and swooping, the blackbirds were distressed, then a few seagulls joined in. I'm hoping they were all fighting over food put out and not attacking baby birds!

The blip is of the Crimson Flowered Broad Beans which are in full flower and living up to their name. The Field Beans (planted out on 5th April) are also doing well and their flowers are almost open too. All the Runner Beans are looking pretty pathetic.

Garden salad for lunch, same ingredients as yesterday but found a little Dill and Rocket Flowers as garnish.
