Small survivor

A small area of subtropical rainforest is preserved in Victoria Park Nature Reserve, 1/2 hour drive from here. Before colonial settlement this area was covered in thick rainforest - an area of 75,000 hectares was known as The Big Scrub. Sadly, very little remains. This small nature reserve is one of my favourite local places.
