Practice makes perfect.....

A very busy one today. Out at 4am to feed the cattle in sheds, then off into town by 5am with Mrs F and Littlemiss.
Dropped her at school to get the bus with the rest of the pipe band through to Glasgow green where they are competing in the pipe band world's competition.
Mrs F and I parked the car then legged it down to Waverley Station to get the train through. 6 am is really the best time to walk round Edinburgh,no tourists about, although did pass a few folk dolled up obviously just on their way home from a night out !
Through to Queen Street then walked to Glasgow green. Wasn't hard to find, just followed the noise of hundreds of pipes and drums.
Was quite a spectacle to see and enjoyed watching them play. The band's are there all day,but we headed home about 11am. It was a different station when we got back to Waverley, absolutely hoaching with folk. And trying to walk back to the car at Bruntsfield was a nightmare. Give me wide open fields any day !
Stopped off at George Square for some overpriced food, then back home to my comfort zone, checking the calving cows.
Managed to cut the lawn in between showers then off down the road tonight to feed the heifers. It's now 9.30 pm and I'm ready for my bed
The pipe band came second in their group, beaten again by their arch rivals Dollar. Bugger.
Still, they are heading out to a party when they eventually get back to Edinburgh... Oh to be young again !
