Penny popped round this afternoon and we took Layla for a walk in the woods. Smashing. So far I have done 16568 steps. 

A productive morning (albeit still haven't sorted those Probate papers) followed by a lovely walk. However later I decided to give the washing machine a "cleaning" wash. Before that i cleaned the rubber seal as best i could and the bit round the drum which is impossible to get to (very limited success). And, crucially removed the filter at the bottom to clean that. Then i added the cleaning detergent and set it off, only realising a few minutes later as I paddled through an ever enlarging puddle, that I had omitted to put the filter back in. Sigh. So have spent a considerable amount of time mopping up. Have decided to run the dehumidifier overnight (do not look at the Smart Meter) to try to continue to dry things out. Mould is not my friend.
