Fidra

On a days holiday today to join Sparkey for some lunch in Dunbar, try The Rocks for a meal sometime, I can highly recommend it. We took a few photos at the cove there, went to the Bridge to Nowhere but the high tide just wasn't high enough so we went for a spin to Yellowcraigs beach where we took some long exposure shots of Fidra Island.

Robert Louis Stevenson often visited the beaches at the area and it is said that he based his map of Treasure Island on the shape of Fidra.

So in the words of the great man himself:

"Fifteen men on the Dead Man's Chest Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum! Drink and the devil had done for the rest Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!"
