Cat Vs Chicken

Here is Phoebe the cat, who is beating up a big black feather that presumably was recently shed from the rear end of the Chicken.

The chicken is eating seed dropped from the bird feeder and is well aware that she is bigger and scarier than the cat.

The Cat is pretty sure that she should chase the chicken but is also aware of the large and scary nature of said bird.

. . . and so we end up with farmyard detente. Everybody would like to eat each other but is too scared of the consequences :-)
