Wound up in Wexford

We spent a couple of hours clearing leaves and twigs blown out of the surrounding trees by Storm Betty from the grass at the back of the house.  The warmth and plentiful rain mean the grass is growing fast, and we needed to get Husky working again.

We still need to do the grass in the woodland area - that's tomorrow's job!

When we had the concrete footings put in for the solar panels, there was (of course) a resultant small mound of spoil.  This is piled in the corner behind the solar panels, and we scattered some wildflower seeds on it - more in hope than expectation as it was already the end of May.  In addition to the many weeds, we have a few poppies, a single cornflower, and a blue flower which I think is phacelia.  Hopefully next year will be better.

Then we made pikelets - a good batch of 25 which should last me a few weeks.  After lunch, W spent more time in the workshop and I tied dozens of reef knots on my quilt.
