Heavy bumble bees were swinging on the slender stalks of the lavender this warm and hazy afternoon. The lavender belongs to the neighbours as I have harvested all of mine and was full of bumble bees and another bee I haven't seen before. It was a light greyish colour with a faint purple hue on its back so it looked like it was transparent (see extra). Looked pretty against the lavender, anyway.
