Worsthorne

Today we visited the village of Worsthorne on the outskirts of Burnley.  It's a lovely little village with a church, two pubs, a village store and a fish and chip shop - everything you need.
We called in the Bay Horse for liquid refreshments and I was rather taken with this small ante-room used for dining (there's more dining area in the pub proper). We then ambled across the road to have a look at the church.  The entrance steps have this rather interesting handrail - designed by Brian Rourke in 1979 and is decorated with representations of the local industry.  (Mrs MD has some Blips of the Church).
Worsthorne was looking good in the sunshine - always worth a visit.
