Red Hokkaido

This squash (Red Hokkaido, also called Uchiki Kuri) has been a joy to grow for many years - it's a good doer whatever weather the British summer throws at it. Also, you get many small fruits which is ideal for autumn and winter meals as I've never seen the point in 10 kilo pumpkins, my fridge is just too small!

It's so exciting when squashes and pumpkins start colouring...
