Bus Pass Walk - Beauty and danger

The Twines to Bingley were reopened much earlier than expected, but a local walk had already been planned, do no buses involved today.  We walked up out of the village and down to Goit Stock. Had seen photos of herons, dippers and a kingfisher down there recently, but no luck today as we headed to the waterfall. The "danger" is the currents under the deep pool formed under the waterfall.  Many families go up there in summer and swim, but it isn't safe.  Sadly there have been deaths there.  Reaching the beautiful waterfall we split and 4 headed back down along the beck and to the garden centre whilst AuntieP and I did a bit of rock scrambling and stile hopping (definitely not elegant!!) to return via Hallas Bridge and the fields above the woods and down to the garden centre for lunch. Moved a few calves out if the way en route, but they were just inquisitive.  Warm, but odd showers now and again, luckily we had tree cover. A lovely walk.
