I’ve seen this moth from both sides now . . .

. . .  and it appears to be an ‘Orange Swift’, common in the UK so I’m lead to believe.  (Apologies to Joni Mitchell)

The taking of this image was quite a feat. The left hand image it was illuminated by a Cree torch propped up with a hat and with light from our front door, and the right hand image the Cree torch propped up with a shoe and the moth in shadow.  The left hand shot is a three frame photo merge/photo stack in Affinity, both processed in PS.

Both photos involved this old f*** rolling about on the hall floor trying to get a decent shot with the camera hand held.  The most difficult thing was getting up of course, closely followed by getting down in the first place.  Having said that I’ve been back on the turmeric for a few days, and the difference is unbelievable in such a short time.  Although everything still aches, and I get exhausted very quickly when walking, the sharp/bad pains are gone (for the moment).
