Snowhill Manor House

We popped in to see Snowshill Manor  this afternoon. It's a National Trust property in the village of Snowshill. It is a sixteenth-century country house, best known for its twentieth-century owner, Charles Wade, an eccentric who amassed an enormous collection of objects that interested him.

The gardens were very nice and had a model village (see extras). The issue we had was that everything was very dark in the house so it was a struggle to see all the interesting things. Plus, the instructions by Wade were to not label anything so there was no story behind the items. Anyway, I snapped these guys with the iphone which made a better job of seeing than my eyes!

Worth a visit but could do better is my summary.
