Wellington Monument

We walked up to the Wellington Monument which is near Ancrum and afterwards went for a special lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary (yesterday).  Apparently the original monument was built as a pyramid but had to be rebuilt when it collapsed.  You can get a key to the tower and we have decided to borrow it sometime so we can see the views from the top
