…butterfly

in the

garden

ran a quick errand - before the heat hit - then took a stroll - around the garden plots - i was admiring a - couple of sunflowers - when a flash of color - brushed past my face - i was like ‘what?’ - i didn’t see anything - straight off so - snapped a few photos - then the flash happened - again in front of my eyes

this time i could track it - lo and behold it was - this butterfly and i couldn’t - have been more thrilled - there haven’t been many butterflies - in the garden this year - and this one is a bit - tattered so she’s certainly - had some difficulty along - the way but i found - myself whispering to her - while i snapped and she was kind - enough to pose for several - minutes on a couple - different flowers while - i stood in place - before she flew off - i was simply delighted - with our interaction since it led to…
