Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Those Grandaughters

They indulged me with a photo.    I wanted to show how tall Fiona is….We are all trying to stand tall…I’m (barely) 6 feet now…she’s almost there at 13.   (Yes, we’ve all tried to interest her in basketball, volleyball or rowing but she will have none of that.  Sigh. ) Tatum is 19 almost 20.   You can see the studio in the back…they never went through the door.   Nor did anyone get out on the water in a self propelled boat.   I’m sure they are grateful their only slightly crippled now grandmother isn’t pushing them. anymore. … and to be fair, there was annoying wind a lot…til this afternoon.  And I’m done with being the camp leader.   Peter and the girls are on their way home now as Tatum has to work tomorrow, but Kirsten and Maple have a few more days.   We did have a very fine time (extra from last night and today) sitting around for pancakes in the morning and on the porch with dinner til dark. Lots of chat.  No games with us this time.  Maple is watching the boat take them away….she’s much easier than than our other grandog Bean, staying here with me. The car going home is carrying “treasures” …Tatum has a new tiny apartment to “decorate” when school starts late September.  Every little bit out of here is good.  But it’s  all “ a drop in the bucket”.  One day at a time.
We’ve enjoyed these few days with them!
