Idioms

This book is a treasure. I found and purchased it at the UC Berkeley book store while there in April 1984.
Now I took it up when I read on nhc's journal her interesting commentary  on shirt related idioms. English not being my first language, I did not add anything there, but here, in my own backyard what came to my mind was off the cuff. :-)
