New furniture

Wednesday 
The furniture delivery arrived at 7.30am. Luckily, I was up! It took us most of the morning to remove the packaging and assemble the six chairs and the dining table. Then we had to get our neighbour round to help turn the table upright after we'd fitted the legs as it was too heavy for me to help Dennis lift.
We had a trip to the recycling centre to dispose of the cardboard and polystyrene packaging. I didn't realise you had to book a slot now, but luckily, they were kind and let us in.
While we were in the mood for clear outs, we took five bags of books to a local charity shop.
