He was also an authorized researcher in the archives at the Auschwitz death camp & founder of the Air Bridge Memorial adjacent to the Polish war graves at Newark on Trent.

The King
Slowly recovering from round 2 chemo. Lot's of fun and activity yesterday. Today on my arrival he was asleep then just lying quietly, grumpy (with bowel pain) and ignoring me, until a few minutes before I had to leave when a switch was flicked, the paints were out and he was very engaging. I was impressed that he was painting left handed so as not to disturb his most recent canular; and told him so of course!

An extra canular had been fitted since my last visit. The specialist pain relief nurse, asked his parents for their thoughts on his medication then gently gave her suggestion re switching to oral from IV morphine, with the hope he may be able to go home for a few days. AMAZING.

Wellbeing
Walked directly to my Botox clinic appointment with my Consulant. Lots of injections to help my neck in particular, but also mouth and jaw, whilst trying to not adversely affect my eating ability, which had much improved. All a balancing act as usual; relieved that I have to top Consultant.

I've been drinking more the last few months with the extra pain, and due to habit formation. My consultant instructed me to record in detail and reduce - which I will do.

Rugby
Wot!! - Fly Half!!!

Not the best organised friendly training match against RAF Coningsby.  Our son ended up playing the very specialist fly half position for the RAF who were short of player - when Southwell had two specialist fly halves watching most of the game.
