Beckenham Place Park: Small Copper on Aster

Spot the long extended proboscis in large

Im and I went to Beckenham Place Park in the early afternoon sunshine... The house and its grounds were taken into public ownership in the 1920s, and are now managed by Lewisham Borough Council; there are formal gardens, extensive parklands, a swimming lake, and the house itself, but today we just explored the formal gardens and got coffee at the stable yard café.

Others here (or right from Hot air balloon over Norbury)
p.s. Surprisingly similar to yesterday's shot, but no flash was used to achieve the dark background today!
