Katydid

Suzanne and I have had busy schedules this summer so we were happy to find a day to go out to Huntley Meadows together.  It was a perfect morning for frogs, insects and spiders.

Along with this katydid, which appears to be eating something small and black while sitting in the rose mallow, I have added an extra of what I believe is a Brilliant Jumping Spider.  It was much larger than any jumping spider I have ever seen before, but it did jump, repeatedly, making it difficult to get a good shot.
