Delightful Des Moines

A good busy start to the day with a AWWA event in Chicago. With some great meetings. Then hitting the road again to head out to Des Moines.
I wasn't expecting too much from Iowa as a very rural mid west area, however it was lovely. The people were warm and friendly and the atmosphere great. I landed in town during the World Pork Expo (apparently the world largest).
Heading downtown for dinner at a local brew pub (nice beer and good prk steak of course) I discovered there was a concert going on and caught the sunset over the capital on the hills. Lovely place.
