How do I know when my sweetcorn is ripe?

When the badger comes and eats it all, that's when.

I had been warned about the badger(s) but assumed they ate the young plants, not the ripe ones. I'd really been looking forward to it as well, I've never had much success up to now (and probably still can't count this year as 'successful'l. Ho hum.

I managed to find a spaghetti squash, lots of broccoli and some potatoes  before thunder squalls stopped play and I had to come home where it was easier to duck in and out of the house.

Himself has acquired my man flu cold so has retired to his bed.

PS I'm not sure yesterday's post worked properly for some reason. I can see it but I don't think others can.
