Speckled Bush Cricket

I saw a tiny, baby version of this the other day. It was hiding in the fuchsia on the other side of the garden. I wanted to photograph it of course but it was well hidden in the leaves.

Today I found this much larger version. There must be a few around. Interestingly, when I reviewed my pictures (of which there were many from all angles), I could only see one  of his powerful back legs. I wonder what happened. He seemed happy enough.
