Reunion

12-13 years ago we five made a movie called Short Cuts. It was the second movie to be made in Temple and stemmed from a madcap dream I had and put the idea to paper. With the two blippers on the left we created something rather magical and a funny snapshot of our lives at that time. Within, we paid homage to 46(?) other movies with snapshot pastiches, growing arms and legs and involved the help of about 140 locals, a tractor, a hot air balloon, a police van, a King Kong costume and an English Pointer called Brian. Filmed in locations all around the area, it was a love letter to Temple, premiering at the Village Hall in 2011, an Oscars affair with red carpet and fanfare to raise funds for Temple Village Hall.
The two on the right are the leading actors who valiantly put up with our demands without a clue of how it was all going to pan out. They had recently met and married whilst filming went on so we still reminisce that this was actually how their love story began.
Many many happy memories and seeing the five of us reunited sparked rumours at today’s village fete that Short Cuts 2 was in the offing…. Retirement plan!
