Day at a Time

Tin Roof

The bothy is very comfortable. We slept pretty well and set out early to do the circular walk round Mallaig. It's only a couple of miles but it took ages because we kept stopping to admire the views. Then we had coffee (and cake) in Mallaig before walking back.

The main is a tin roof building on the circuit path and the extra a beautiful grass-of-Parnassus in a wildflower patch. The midgies weren't too annoying and so far no ticks.

The bothy owner is an artist and she showed us her studio when we returned from our walk. Really interesting work and of course inspiration right in front with the view from the window.

We're planning another walk this afternoon then an early evening meal in Mallaig. This is the day for staying local as the remainder of our time here is scheduled.

Thanks for all the lovely comments, hearts and stars. The 4G is temperamental so my responses will be limited.
