Gladiola

This is the first Gladiola to bloom from a batch that I bought from eBay.  The corms were small and shrivelled, but Stuart planted them anyway.  They came up rather weedy looking, but suddenly a couple of them produced buds and then this one flowered.  I love the mixed colour!  I'm hoping they will come up again next year and that, hopefully, more of them will bloom.

Cooler air temperature again today, but the sun is baking hot when it comes out between the clouds.
