Tiny mushrooms

I walked briskly up the hill late in the day, when my surroundings were largely in shadow, so I was pleased that this large mass of tiny mushrooms around the roots of a tree beside the lane provided a reasonably presentable photo. I didn't think to check what the tree was, though I can look later, and I've yet tried to identify the mushrooms, so information would be welcome.

Apart from that, we pottered through our day. My only accomplishment of any note was a batch of blackberry and apple cordial, at J's request.
